Dan and Chris' Herts Rugby Grand Tour

Story

Chris Ball was a legend of Harlow Rugby Club in Essex and all who met him knew that he was a force on the pitch but also a great friend off of it. I only had the privilege of knowing Chris for a short time before we lost him in August 2009. Since then, Chris' family and the rugby community have helped to raise over £20,000 for the RNLI and I'd love to do something to contribute.

From May 28th to 30th, we'll be riding around Hertfordshire to visit every rugby club in the county where I referee. This is a ride of almost 200 miles (300km), carrying all our own kit and camping along the way. You can see the route at the link below on the website "Komoot" and if you want to join us, just get in contact.

Too many people are still drowning. More than ever we need the RNLI’s help. As a charity, the RNLI depends on our donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe. RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. They’re the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands. And the RNLI safety teams and educators working tirelessly to stop people getting into trouble in the first place. Thank you.
